Eastern Mediterranean Cyprus neighboring Cultural Middle East

Cyprus may be considered as Europe's sun rising country, however is just 25 minutes flight from Lebanon's Beirut airport and just an hour's flight from Cairo-Egypt, Amman-Jordan, Tel Aviv-Israel. Located between or surrounded by Greece and Turkey. Cyprus with more than 9000years of history has a lot to explore. I am aware that millions of people from USA, or Japan - China and Australia, visit every year Petra in Jordan, Pyramids in Egypt and Jerusalem - Israel. Or even a combination of all these countries. All above countries have historical culture to promote. So as our small island in the eastern mediterranean. Cyprus may be well known for its sunshiny days and beach holidays or tourist night life in certain resorts surely mostly to europeans, however as mentioned earlier has a lot of history and surely worth at least a 3nights/4 days stay on the island.

Other authors have written extensively on the sites / monuments - Unesco protected or byzantine sites of Cyprus and have thought is no need to repeat these once again. Just wanted to give emphasis on the fact that Cyprus is so close to Middle East and those of the travelers will be travelling to Middle Eastern countries perhaps they would consider including Cyprus in their itinerary with the assistance of their local travel consultant at the origin point.

If it helps i usually recommend to our associates abroad that is best they have their customers accommodated in Limassol. Limassol based visitors can explore one day to western Cyprus - Paphos, one day to the mountain - central cyprus and the third day to Capital Nicosia or to eastern Cyprus (Larnaca - Ayia Napa area). Additionally we should note that Limassol is open all year round which makes it ideal as it combines beach, shopping and big city facilities.

The two international airports of Paphos and Larnaca are just 50 minutes drive.

Gigabyte dealers trip to Cyprus (from Syria)

Chronos Travel Cyprus recently organized an appreciation trip to Cyprus for Gigabyte dealers of Syria coordinated by Sunlight Travel. The Group arrived on 16th April 2011 and started with a tour to the Troodos Mountains, stopping via Kakopetria village for Lunch. Accommodation for 2 nights was in Limassol at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel. Other tours taken were Safari Jeep exploring the unspoilt region of Akamas, Avakas Gorge, Baths of Aphrodite and of course tasting delicious sea food at the seaside village of Latschi. The same evening we took a cruise with dinner whilst watching the sunset. The next day we headed to the capital Nicosia enjoying a walking tour of the old city, exploring its narrow alleyways amongst the Venetian Walls. We ate the most delicious fish meze in Acropolis and had time the next day for some souvenir shopping, stopping to see the Cyprus Mall before arriving in Larnaca. A quick stop at the Hala Sultan Tekke on the salt lake. With some extra time to spare we enjoyed an orientation tour of Palm Tree promenade “Corniche” before arriving at Larnaca Airport for the Departure back to Syria. Chronos travel was careful to ensure that every detail from start to finish was strategically arranged to provide a rewarding and memorable experience for the entire group. Our thanks to Sunlight Travel Syria and Gigabyte for their trust in our services in Cyprus. (Manolis Manoli - Incoming Operations). Classmates reunite with Cyprus Ambassador in Kenya

Last week i had received a surprising call from a mate of during high school years, requesting me to attend a reunion gathering, on the occasion of his excellency the ambassador of Cyprus in magical Kenya, Mr Agis Loizou would have been in Cyprus for a few days, therefore thought is best we all reunite.
Elegant Katy who organised the whole event, at the place she runs in Nicosia, the COuntry CLub, located just a few minutes from Nicosia, direction to Limassol, was the event's meeting place. Having had liaise with my old friend Christos, we had arranged to meet at his house and from there on, headed to the Country CLub.

Surprisingly, the second one, the past week, I have realised it was just us there, I mean the old class mates only. No other people, nor customers of Country Club were there. Absolute Exclusivity. After we had our chats from the past and present we proceeded for dinner. I must say it has been the first time in my life that had attended an event whose only guests were a bunch of people, all of us together, twenty in total.

The place seem to have recently been renovated, food was excellent and the staff was very willing. During course we had exchanged lots of ideas, one of them being the suggestion to organize a familiarization trip to Nairobi.. Agis's Embassy base. Most of the schoolmates were not aware that my self operates, together with other colleagues, Tailor Made Holidays to the Middle East and Beyond under the Chronos Leisure tours and tailor made journeys license.

Lastly when we all agreed to pay our dividend, Kate had not accepted to receive any amounts. Kate, from as long as i remember in life, has always been generous and has proved so once more again. Kate tank you for all.

I have thought to express my thoughts.
